Introduce your team briefly
PGRacing Team is a students’ project operating as a part of the Scientific Organization “Mechanic”. Our members study at various faculties: Mechanical and Shipbuilding Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication and Informatics, Management and Economics. We share a passion for motorization and after hours we are a very close group of friends.
Tell us about your team’s history with Formula Student
The team was initiated in the second half of 2014 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Gdańsk University of Technology. Since then, 5 vehicles have been built. Over these years we participated in 8 editions of the Formula Student competition. We can say that we are just getting started.
What does joining Formula Student Netherlands mean to you?
The year 2022 is a bit of a milestone for the team, due to the fact that we will take part in national editions that we have never attended before. This applies, of course, to the FSN.We have big plans and we hope that the Netherlands will favor us.
What are your main goals for this year?
Our goal is to build a reliable vehicle that, above all, will be lighter and more agile than the previous one. This will be mainly due to the monocoque construction planned for this year.
What made you think of/choose FSN?
FSN is one of the most prestigious competitions of Formula Student in Europe. We want to face this challenge and try our best with other teams with whom we have never competed.By the way, who wouldn’t want to make a trip to the Netherlands? :)
What makes you different from the other teams?
We are definitely a less experienced team, but we make up for it with passion and dedication to Formula Student. We work 200% harder and most of us combine working on a car with full-time work or studies which is not the easiest task but it is definitely worth it.
What is your most significant achievement in Formula Student so far?
Our greatest achievement so far is the first place in FS Andorra in 2018.
