  • Introduce your team briefly.

We are a team of over 40 students from various fields of study at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Ranging from electrical engineering to media technology, technical design and economics, we have students of all fields of study at our university. Our team was founded in 2008 and since then all of our cars have the beautiful name Jenny.
Our Team is separated into 10 departments, which are:
Driverless, Chassis, Manufacturing, Onboard Electronics, Powertrain, Vehicle Dynamics, Marketing, Business, Organization and IT.

  • Tell us about your team’s history with Formula Student.

This year we will bring our 12th car to Formula Student, which is after Jenny 8GD2 our second autonomous driving car. We started in 2008 and since then our team developed into a large group of students with lots of passion for Formula Student.

  • What does joining Formula Student Netherlands mean to you?

This is our first ever Event at Formula Student Netherlands, so we are really excited to be there and compete against all the other teams.

  • What are your main goals for this year?

Our goals are:

Driverless: 10 laps with an average time under 60s

Maintainability/Reliability: Complete test event without any failure, and be able to get the inverter in/out in under 5 minutes

Performance: FSG autocross lap in 110% of the time of the five top teams 2019

Hard goals: 193kg without driver, 800N downforce @ 45km/h, 10% recuperation in endurance

  • What made you think of/choose FSN?

We chose FSN because it is the first event of the year for us to take part in the competition.

 

  • What makes you different from the other teams?

We already overstood a flood in 2013 that destroyed some of our cars and now even a pandemic can’t stop us

 

  • What is your biggest achievement in Formula Student so far?

7th place in FSG 2018
